15. [Camera] Architecture

This time, instead of video, let’s take a series of still shots exploring some of the things you learned about in this lesson. Go for a walk somewhere local, and take a series of shots as you move down a street or between buildings. Position the camera at different heights (a tripod or monopod is ideal, but use what you have) and different distances from the buildings. Explore the architecture of different buildings, and your distance from interesting features. Take photos in the light, and photos in the shade, and photos at the boundaries of shadows.

Save these photos to a folder on your hard disk. Or, better yet, put them online on a Pinterest or Instagram account. That way, you can later refer to these photos when you need inspiration.
